Correction. Periwinkle is both a flower and an animal but the color was based on the animal not the flower. If you are going to correct us, you ought to have something to back up your claim. --Bejjinks (talk) 00:58, February 28, 2013 (UTC)

Even thought the color was based on the animal, the color was later based on the flower according to a crayola crayon wrapper for the color periwinkle. The English translation for "florecita azul claro" (the Spanish word for the color periwinkle) is "Light blue flower". The Big Howarth King in the Oob (talk) 22:00, June 27, 2017 (UTC)
